Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the AURA iOS application ("AURA", "we", "us", "the app") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

2. About AURA

AURA is a wellness application for breathing practices, meditation, mood tracking, journaling, and self-reflection. AURA is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

3. Medical disclaimer (important)

AURA is not a medical device, healthcare service, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Breathing practices and meditation may not be suitable for everyone. Hyperventilation, breath retention, paced breathing, and similar techniques carry risks if practised incorrectly or by individuals with certain health conditions, including but not limited to: cardiovascular or respiratory conditions, epilepsy, panic disorder, severe anxiety or depression, recent surgery, and pregnancy.

Before starting any breathing or meditation practice — particularly if you have a pre-existing condition or are pregnant — consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you experience dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, or any other concerning symptom while using the app.

Heart-rate, breathing-rate, or other health readings (where present) are informational only and must not be used for medical diagnosis.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use AURA. If you are a minor, you may use the app only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

5. Subscription (AURA+)

AURA offers an optional auto-renewing subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase, collectively "AURA+".

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
Refunds, where available, are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store policies.
Prices and features may change; material changes will be communicated in-app and on the App Store product page.

AURA+ unlocks the additional features described in the app at the time of purchase. Specific features may evolve over time.

6. Local data

AURA stores your practice history, journal entries, mood log, settings, and favourites locally on your device. We do not provide cloud sync in this version. If you uninstall the app, change devices, or restore from a backup that omits app data, this information may be lost. We recommend periodically exporting your data (Settings → Конфиденциальность → Поделиться моими данными).

7. User-generated content

Journal entries, mood notes, and custom practice names you create remain on your device. By saving them you confirm you have the right to do so. We do not access or use this content.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the app for any unlawful purpose;
attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise circumvent the app's technical protections;
interfere with the app's intended operation;
impersonate another person when using community-style features (where present);
post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or violates third-party rights.

9. Intellectual property

AURA — including its design, text, scripts, audio, illustrations, and code — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Third-party services

AURA uses Apple services (StoreKit, HealthKit, UserNotifications, App Intents, WidgetKit). Your use of those services is subject to Apple's own terms.

11. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your particular requirements.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death, or personal injury caused by our wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may terminate or suspend access if you materially breach these Terms. Termination does not affect any subscription rights you have already acquired through Apple.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date and announced inside the app on next launch. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
